David Gomez has been making ukuleles and guitars in Kohala, Hawaii.
He originally studied classical guitar making in Madrid, Spain, and has had the rare experience of watching the making process of master craftsman Paulino Bernabé up close, even if he is not his apprentice.
This is an all solid concert ukulele with the finest figured koa wood for the body.
The shiny Avalon rosette is also eye-catching.
The mahogany neck is just under 34.5mm wide at the nut and approximately 383mm scale, with an 18-fret rosewood fingerboard.
The head also has a figured koa surface and is equipped with Grover pegs.
Gloss finish.

There is a ding on the side of the head (near the 3rd string peg).
There are some minor scuffs and scratches, but overall it is clean and playable.
The ukulele has a nice tension and a cool, crisp, ukulele-like sound!
