[SN 12057] USED MOON / JJ-4 [03]
Moon Custom Guitars has firmly established its reputation as a leading Japanese component brand.
The "JJ-4" model we’ve just received is a JB-style guitar characterized by its slanted front pickup.
Although specifications have changed since its release, the basic concept has remained the same, and it has long been loved by many players both domestically and internationally, regardless of whether they are professionals or amateurs.
It features a simple control layout with a passive 2-volume, 1-tone setup and a pickup selector.
The tone knob doubles as a switch, allowing you to toggle to a phased-out sound.
The body, believed to be made of walnut, has a substantial, weighty feel, and this density produces a rich mid-to-low range that creates a pleasant sound when playing.
Currently, the neck has a slight forward bow on the 4th string side with a bit of twist, but this does not significantly hinder playability.
The truss rod functions well, but there is very little play left in the loosening direction.
The pickup cover is missing. (Details unknown)
Additionally, a broken wire was detected upon arrival, so the rear pickup has been rewound.
Overall, there are numerous scratches and dents, and there is a large dent on the body surface.
The hardware shows signs of tarnish.
One of the hard case latches is broken.
