[SN R860665] USED Gibson Custom Shop / Standard Historic 1958 Les Paul Standard VOS Hudson Burst [12]

We’ve just received a 1958 Les Paul that’s reminiscent of a certain artist’s beloved instrument.
Announced in 2015 alongside the True Historic series, the Standard Historic was crafted based on the specifications of the 2014 Historic Collection. It features a fingerboard glued with animal glue, creating a tight joint similar to vintage models that delivers a direct tone, along with other meticulous details such as long studs, long anchors, and an old-style tubeless truss rod.

This particular instrument, manufactured in 2016, is a late-1980s Les Paul Standard with a 3-piece maple top, a slightly thinner neck profile, no pickguard, and a double-black Custom Backer pickup (without a cover). It features a Nashville-style bridge and is a Japan Limited edition from that era, reminiscent of a certain artist’s beloved instrument.
Overall, there are scratches and dents, and the pick marks and binding show noticeable aniline dye stains; there are also several cracks in the control knobs.
The frets are worn down to 7/10 of their original height, the neck is in good condition, and the truss rod is adjustable.
