[SN K098856] USED Orville / LPS-75 Cherry Sunburst [11]
This was the flagship model of Orville, a brand officially licensed by Gibson. Based on its serial number, this instrument is believed to be from 1989—close to the brand’s inaugural year—and it showcases the meticulous craftsmanship characteristic of the brand’s early days.
It adheres to traditional specifications, featuring a maple top and mahogany back, a set-in mahogany neck, and a rosewood fingerboard. It offers rich low-to-midrange depth and natural compression, producing a well-defined tone when played clean and a classic, resilient Les Paul sound when driven.
The original humbucker installed is a balanced model with minimal character quirks, making it easy to play. It has a versatile character suitable for any genre and offers ample potential as a bass guitar.
There is an extra hole on the side of the fingerboard beneath the pickguard.
There is some wear on the back corner of the headstock. There is paint chipping below the 5th string peg post. The model logo on the top of the headstock is slightly faded.
There is discoloration on the binding. Peeling of the binding is visible on the side of the fingerboard near the low frets.
Additionally, there are some minor scratches and dents, and the instrument shows moderate signs of use.
There are no noticeable issues with the neck, and it is in good playing condition.
The truss rod has limited adjustment remaining in the tightening direction.
