[SN 91088] USED Greco / EG59-70 Cherry Sunburst [11]

[SN 91088] USED Greco / EG59-70 Cherry Sunburst [11]

A Greco Les Paul model from the Mint Collection era, based on the '59 style and offering excellent practicality.
Made in 1989.
Featuring the classic maple top/mahogany back, mahogany neck, and rosewood fingerboard, this guitar faithfully follows the so-called 1959 specifications. As a late-period Mint Collection model, this instrument is characterized by the stable assembly precision typical of Fujigen and a practical finish designed with playability in mind.
The pickups are unmarked wire-wound models. The sound is based on vintage nuances but features a modern balance with slightly higher output, offering impressive attack speed and tight low-end. It delivers a well-defined tone in clean settings and remains resilient under distortion, ensuring a strong presence even within a band ensemble. Controls follow the orthodox 2-Vol/2-Tone/3-Way configuration.
The EG59-70 combines the polish of a Japanese vintage guitar with the practical potential of a modern instrument.
A Scud LP-SW-I is installed due to a missing selector plate.
The pickguard is missing. There is paint chipping in several places on the body. There is a scratch on the escutcheon.
Additionally, there are some minor scratches and dents, and it shows moderate signs of use.
The neck has a reverse bow on the 6th string side and a forward bow on the 1st string side, resulting in twisting and warping. It has been adjusted with high string action and is currently in playable condition. If you wish to lower the string action from its current setting, a fingerboard correction and refretting will be necessary.
