[SN ILX110694] YAMAHA / LL16 ARE Natural [11]
The LL16ARE Natural from Yamaha’s flagship “L” series of acoustic guitars!
The L Series is renowned worldwide as Yamaha’s pinnacle of acoustic guitars.
Even 40 years after its release, the "L" series continues to be cherished by countless artists as a legendary instrument... Its enduring value lies in its ability to consistently deliver the sound and playability demanded by each era at the highest level. It ushered in a new era of acoustic guitars in Japan, has continued to evolve with the times, and has always responded to the needs of its players. That is the L Series.
Featuring an original jumbo body and an all-solid construction, it features Engelmann spruce for the top and rosewood for the sides and back.
The top wood has been treated with our proprietary “A.R.E. (Acoustic Resonance Enhancement)” process, previously used on high-end L Series models such as the LL26 and LL36. This achieves a rich tone reminiscent of a guitar that has been played for many years!!
The bracing remains non-scalloped X-bracing, as in previous models, but in this redesign, the bracing has been lowered and the shape changed to a square. This ensures the X-bracing intersects perfectly!
The neck has been changed from the previous 3-piece construction to a 5-piece structure combining mahogany and rosewood, achieving greater strength against warping and twisting! Additionally, the neck is tapered by 1mm at the 10th fret, improving playability in the higher positions! Furthermore, by rounding the edges of the fingerboard, we’ve achieved a smooth playing feel that fits comfortably in the hand!
In the new model, the string height and string spacing have also been adjusted: the 6th string is set slightly lower and the 1st string slightly higher than before, and the string spacing has been widened by 0.3mm.
This new model features a "passive pickup," allowing you to connect it directly to an amplifier. (Cable sold separately.)
The pickups use the same piezo elements as those found in SRT models used in electro-acoustic guitars like the APX and CPX. They offer excellent response and ample output!
A "double-action truss rod"—which was not included in the early L series—has been installed, providing a structure that effectively corrects both forward and backward bowing.
