[SN 105137] USED Epiphone / Riviera Blue Label Cherry [3.58 kg / 1970s–1980s] Epiphone Made in Japan [08]
[SN 105137] USED Epiphone / Riviera Blue Label Cherry [3.58 kg / 1970s–1980s] Epiphone Made in Japan [08]
This is an Epiphone "Made in Japan" Riviera.Featuring a body shape similar to the Epiphone Casino, the Riviera incorporates the center block construction familiar from models like the Gibson ES-335, as well as a distinctive frequency-adjusting tailpiece. It is equipped with a strap pin on the 6th string horn, a laminated maple hollow body, a 3-piece maple neck, a rosewood fingerboard, parallelogram inlays, and two full-size humbuckers.
In addition to the smooth feel when fretting thanks to the extended tailpiece, this semi-hollow body guitar is characterized by a unique sound that combines the signature "Epiphone" tone with its distinctive design.
The pickguard and truss rod cover are missing, and the four knobs have been replaced. There are signs of wear (including discoloration, dents and paint chips around the body’s perimeter, small scratches and scuff marks, scuffs and playing lines, picking marks, buckle marks, a dent on the back of the neck, and tarnish, pitting, and rust on metal parts and screws, among other cosmetic damage).
Set up upon arrival (cleaning, string replacement, truss rod adjustment, octave adjustment, string height adjustment, and fret leveling). The originally narrow fret tops are on the lower side but are at a height that poses no issues for playing. The truss rod can be adjusted in both tightening and loosening directions; it has been tested to operate up to ±60° and is in good condition (slightly tight).
