A custom shop Texas Special-equipped model based on Fender Japan's "TL52-TX" specifications.
This is a Fender Japan exclusive 50s Telecaster Texas Special. It features a 1952-style five-point black pickguard, ash body, one-piece maple neck, maple fingerboard, button-style string guides, 3-way bridge with chrome saddles, flathead screws, and a Custom Shop Texas Special pickup.
This guitar is characterized by its 50s-style looks, the crisp character of the ash/maple combination, and the substantial tone of the core Custom Shop Texas Special pickup.
Signs of use are present (scratches, playing lines, picking marks, discoloration on the brass bridge, tarnish/pitting/rust on metal parts, etc.).
Setup upon arrival included cleaning, string replacement, truss rod adjustment, octave adjustment, string height adjustment, fret leveling, and electrical repair (pickup selector replacement). The originally low fret profile was leveled to a height that is low but playable. The truss rod was checked to 60° on both sides and is in good condition (slightly tightened).
Condition Grade: B+: Some minor scratches present, but no issues for normal use.
