This Modern Set Neck features a quilted maple body top and black limba back and neck, and is marked with a "CSW Top Wood Location: C-3" on the spec sheet, which indicates that a special top material was used.
The Modern Elliptical .800"-.850" neck shape, 10"-14" compound radius fingerboard, and 24F stainless steel jumbo frets provide comfortable playability.
The set neck design provides better access to the high frets near the neck joint.
The HSH array of PUs includes a Thornbucker in the front, ML Standard in the center, and Thornbucker Plus in the rear, which can handle up to high gain while still utilizing the sound of quality wood. The controls are a simple 1Vol/1Tone, keeping the circuitry to a minimum.
A GOTOH Floyd Rose tremolo is mounted, and Suhr locking type pegs are used.
Aqua Blue Burst adds depth to the beautiful quilt grain on the top and head, and together with the inlays and head logo Avalon, it has a luxurious look.
There are some minor dings, scratches, and wipes, but overall the instrument is in good condition with no major damage. It has been cleaned and adjusted as a whole after arrival.
