[SN 6-0179] USED GIBSON CUSTOM SHOP / Murphy Lab 1956 Les Paul Standard Gold Top Ultra Light Aged [03]

We’ve just received a 2020 Gibson Custom Shop Murphy Lab 1956 Les Paul Standard Gold Top Ultra Light Aged!
This guitar features the "Ultra Light Aged" finish, featuring scratches and weather checking applied by Murphy Lab!

The body features a "2-Piece Plain Maple" top paired with a "1-Piece Lightweight Mahogany" back, a "Solid Mahogany" neck, and an "Indian Rosewood" fingerboard.
The neck features a "Chunky C-Shape," which is not as thick as the thick necks commonly seen in guitars of this era, offering a comfortable, well-balanced thickness that fits naturally in the hand.

The finish is the popular "Gold Top" color.
The body back and neck back are natural in color.
The finish is Murphy Lab’s “Ultra Light Aged” specification. This is the lightest of Murphy Lab’s four aging levels, featuring weather checking applied throughout the instrument.
It also reproduces the "verdigris" unique to Gold Top models, making this a guitar that allows you to enjoy the changes that come with age.

It is equipped with two original Custom Shop "P-90" pickups.
The P-90s deliver the characteristic, well-balanced low-end weight that is clearly felt whether playing clean or distorted, making this a versatile instrument suitable not only for rock but also for blues and jazz.

Regarding the condition, due to the "Ultra Light Aged" finish, it is difficult to distinguish scratches, but there are some dents on the body side that appear to have been acquired later, and there is a slight chip in the finish at the neck joint.
While there are some scratches that differ from the original, they are hardly noticeable, and the guitar is in perfect playing condition.

This 1956 Goldtop, enhanced by Murphy Lab’s Ultra Light Aged finish, truly stands out as a stylish instrument!
As this is a popular model, please consider purchasing it soon!
