Private Stock #5225 Custom 24 Vintage Yellow, made in 2014 and limited to 60 pieces worldwide (20 pieces of each color) to commemorate the 30th anniversary of PRS, is now in stock!

The "Private Stock" line is PRS's top line of custom-ordered guitars.
The models of this series are made by a small number of elite craftsmen using the rarest and most valuable woods and luxurious inlays, and are the ultimate guitars with a beautiful and artistic appearance that can be considered a work of art, as well as sound and playability that are thoroughly crafted with the utmost care and attention. Body
The top is made of beautifully grained quilted maple.
African Ribbon Mahogany is used for the back, which is an orthodox wood composition.
The pre-factory top curve and heel are adopted, with an angular arch and small neck heel like the early Custom 24.
The coloring is "Vintage Yellow," a popular color from the past, finished with a high-gloss nitro finish.
Neck
Rare "Peruvian mahogany" is used for the neck.
Peruvian mahogany is a slightly harder wood than conventional mahogany, and is characterized by its quick response.
Madagascar rosewood" is used for the fingerboard. The fingerboard is decorated with "30th Anniversary birds" inlays and Avalon purfling.
The neck shape is "Pattren Regular". The neck shape is "Pattren Regular" with moderate thickness and grippy feeling.
Pickups
The pickups are the "85/15" pickups, which are brushed up from the early PRS pickups in 1985 for the 30th anniversary. Pulling the tone knob activates the Sweet Switch, which was used on the early Custom 24s, and turning it on gives a milder tone shape to the high frequencies.
