The basic specs of the Special Semi-Hollow (22 frets, 25" scale neck, semi-hollow body with single f-hole, narrow field humbucker pickups), which was reintroduced in 2021, have been retained, and the guitar has been carefully selected from the Private Stock Vault. Highly-Figured Maple top, Black Limba back and neck, Ziricote fingerboard, truss rod cover and head veneer, White Mother Of Pearl and Paua inlays, Smoked Black hardware, and a Citrus Glow High-Gloss Nitro finish, this Special Semi-Hollow is a Limited Edition by the PRS Private Stock team.
"The Private Stock Limited Edition is not a customer order, but rather an opportunity for the PRS Private Stock team to discuss and decide on all the specifications and to showcase our current production techniques in a concentrated form. For this Limited Edition, we selected the Special Semi-Hollow, which has the widest sound variation in the PRS product lineup.
In order to balance the sound, we used Black Limba for the body back and neck, Citrus Glow finish and Smoked Black hardware to create a beautiful and satisfying finish that not only sounds great, but also contrasts well with the rest of the guitar. The instrument has been fully adjusted and cleaned at our repair center when it arrived, so you can use it with no worries.
